Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Hear ye! Hear ye!

Be glad all Transformers fans out there. The much-awaited sequel will soon be hitting the cinemas this year.

In fact, the trailer has been released and I want you to see it here.

In “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”, expect more robots and locations. Yup, this time the most important location where most of the scenes were shoot is actually in Egypt. Why? Well, something to do with the script, of course. DUH! Hehehe…

Anyway, the story goes like this… Sam Witwicky (Shia La Beouf) already attends college to study astronomy. Unfortunately, his girlfriend, Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox) can’t afford to go into college with him. Anyway, so it goes that one day Sam discovered something about the origins of the Transformers and how they started here on earth. Because of this knowledge, the Decepticons are once again out there to capture him and squeeze out of him the information.  The peak of the battle takes place at the Giza pyramid complex.

As you might have noticed, the Transformers history and mythology will further be explained in this sequel. So we could really look forward to more robots in the scenes. Although, in an interview, Robert Orci, one of the writers said that in this sequel the focus between the robots and humans are “much more evenly balanced”.

Hmmm… very promising, right? Let’s just wait and watch. :)

P.S. Is it true that Megan Fox was really a man before? Just curious…

Three Love Stories: End or Beginning?

Previously…

“Then he let it out, the question he really wanted to ask. He bowed his head, quite hesitant. But looked up at me again. “May feelings ka pa ba sa kanya?”

The answer came to me as fast as the blink of an eye. And I gave it to him with a reassuring smile. Finally, I was able to meet his gaze.”

“Love is like COFFEE”

I stared at the framed painting on the wall. Reading the description for the tenth time. Love is like cofee daw. He’s placing our orders. Two  hot capuccinos.

I can’t believe that we are able to make it today. I said ok lang, punta pa rin naman ako UST for our org. meeting. So ayun, tambay sa UST. Magpapagupit na lang sana ako ng hair when X texted to meet-up.

“Ok ka lang? Gusto mo ba magpagupit after this?” bungad ni X as he took the seat facing me.

“Next time na lang siguro. Sa may Morayta kasi ako nagpapagupit eh”

“Bakit mo nga pala naisipang magpagupit?” X asked as he leaned closer, “Sayang naman ang buhok mo.”

“Kasi…”

“Kasi?”

“I believe that one’s hair always has something to do with memories” I explained looking at him intently. He kept his silence and I continued. “Whenever I cut my hair, a big decision always comes with it. usually, of letting go of memories.”

X smiled. I know he understood what I said. Our order came along with one chocolate cake. Nag-order daw si X, hati daw kami. He got hold of the brown sugar packets and tore them. He sprinkled one to his cup and one in mine. I stirred my coffee and started sipping. He did the same. Then he looked up to me.

“Nasa Robinson’s nga pala si Audrey kaya  dito na lang tayo nagpunta. Di niya kasi alam about this.”

I bowed my head. Hindi yata naging maganda usapan nila ni Audrey last time. Dapat ba ako magtanong? Huwag na lang siguro.

“Ang Ai means ’Love’ di ba?”

The question made me raise my head and gaze at him. A sugary kind of smile was drawn in his face. I can feel the heat rising in my cheeks. I controlled myself and gathered my composure.

“Uhumm… Yun nga. Yung isa alam mo na?” hoping that he doesn’t know and that he would stop staring and smiling at me.

“Hindi pa. Dun nga ako nahihirapan eh. Ano ba ibig sabihin nun?”

“I got it from a self-study Nippongo book. Naghahanap kasi ako ng Nippongo for ‘sweet’ (kasi sweet ka – to self only!) kaya lang ang meron lang ay Amasa which means ‘sweetness’”

“So, sweet ako?” His grin grew wider. And I hate it that I feel giddy about it  like a high school teenager.

“Medyo.”

He got his fork and carefully sliced the chocolate cake. Then, he offered it to me. I opened my lips and ate the cake. I did the same for him. I was wiping my lips with tissue when his cellphone buzzed. He excused himself and read the message.

“Si Audrey. Alam niya raw na kasama kita,” his face turned gloomy.

I said nothing and just looked at my cup of capuccino. I don’t know what to say. I felt like a bunch of tiny pins are piercing my heart as of the moment. I don’t know why but it hurts to know that somehow, it seems that Audrey is not in favor of what’s blossoming between me and her cousin.

“Sa tingin mo ba nanliligaw ako sa’yo?”

“I’m not sure” I answered without taking my eyes off from my cup of coffee.

“Bakit?”

“Para ka kasing nanliligaw na para namang hindi.”

“Bakit?”

“Para ka kasing di seryoso.”

“Sa tingin mo ba seryoso ako?”

“Di ko alam. Mahirap masabi eh.”

“I’m serious”

And silence fell between us again. I don’t know how to break it but then again I have no plans of doing it. It doesn’t seem proper if I’ll be the one to do it.

“Mahal mo ba ako?”

I gently looked up at him. Puzzled. The words registered in my ears like lightning and thunder. But I’m confused. Why would he ask that?

“Parang may mali yata sa tanong mo…” I answered, almost a whisper.

“Anong mali?” now he also wore the puzzled look.

“Para kasing… baligtad. Di ba dapat ako ang nagtatanong nun?” I explained in a soft voice. Afraid that someone who knows us might hear them.

“Mahal kita.”

“Anong sabi mo?” I straightened my back and looked at him, surprised.

“Mahal kita.”

“Ulitin mo nga.”

“Mahal kita. (pause) Mahal kita. (pause) Mahal kita. (pause) Mahal kita. (pause) Mahal kita. “

And with that, I felt like crying. I tried hard to fight back the tears that threatened to fall.

He leaned a bit more closer and attempted to hold my hand. Hesitated, and withdrew his hand. He straightened in his seat.

“Jane, mahal mo rin ba ako?”

“Yes” I answered softly then nodded. I bowed my head again, afraid that my eyes might give me away. It’s quite embarrassing if he catch me so happy in tears. No, I shouldn’t give that much.

“Pero alam mo ang situation natin… “

He started his litany. He said that he doesn’t like commitment. That he can’t afford it. He is not into formalities like monthsaries. That, I should understand his relationship with Audrey. Audrey means so much to him, more than his own life. That if time will come that he has to choose between me and Audrey… he might hurt me so bad. He noticed my silence. He stopped.

“Am I hurting you? I don’t intend to”

I raised my head and I was unaware that tears were already flowing from my eyes. “You don’t want to hurt me… but… you are hurting me already right this moment.”

He tried to open his mouth but no words came out. He kept quiet. A long pause before he managed to speak again.

“I want to commit with you. But. I don’t know how…”

I stared at him for a second. Unsure of what to say. I looked back at the painting I was looking at a while ago. “Love is like coffee.”

Yes, I agreed silently. Love is like coffee. It is a blend of sweet moments and bitter experiences created that could make you crave for more till you get addicted to it.

Bye Alwina…

Today, I received a bad news.

My Dad’s dog, Alwina is dead. She passed away last week after giving birth to her puppies that were not able to survive too.

Alwina’s such a one sweet dog. She used to sleep in front of my room before when Dad was abroad. She guards me and waits for me to come home from work.

Rest in peace, my dear Alwina...

Rest in peace, my dear Alwina...

Rest now dear. I’ll miss you Alwina… We’ll miss you.

Pixlink: Globe’s All-New Media Files Back-up

SIM Blocked? Tsk! Lost Phone? D*rn! No media file back-up? HOLY CRAP!

It’s just really so annoying when you lost your phone and failed to create a back-up of all those precious photos in your memory card. You feel like losing your sanity, regretting over the loss of those videos, and pictures. You keep on blaming yourself for being so stupid while crying over spilled milk.

Well, I’ve got some good news for you.

pixlink

Pixlink Beta by Globe Telecom

No, you can’t retrieve what you’ve lost. BUT. You can prevent those kind of situations from happening again through the help of Globe Telecom’s All-New Pixlink Beta. Pixlink Beta allows you to create a backup, share and publish the photos and videos from your phone. How?

It’s very easy. First, you must be a Globe subscriber (Prepaid or Postpaid). Then, all you have to do is go to the site and join. Choose your phone make and model. Also, register your mobile number. Afterwards, you have to wait for a message to be sent to your phone. It will direct you to a wap site where you can download the application that will enable you to upload your pictures and videos, hassle-free.

The Good

Pixlink guarantees you with easy back-up and storage for your files. Once a member, you can upload your  media files (photos and videos) from your mobile phone to the web. Plus, in Pixlink you can also synchronize your files.

Have the liberty of conveniently publishing your photos and videos in your favorite sites like YouTube, Friendster, Facebook, Flickr, etc. Widgets to be embedded in other sites are available too. And, you have the option to make your files private or public.

The Downside

Once your subscription expires, all your files will be deleted. Subscription rates are as follows: P30 (one day), P60 (2days) and P120 (5days). So, if you run out of load, better be sure that your media files won’t get lost till you back them up again.

Another thing, some phone units are not compatible with the application. (Check now if your phone is compatible!) Most phone units available are the latest releases. I hope they could do something about this. And lastly, Touch Mobile (TM) subscribers, can’t avail of this application yet. Maybe soon.

Three Love Stories: Against All Odds

Previously

“Well, I admit, magaan ang loob ko sa kanya. Kung dati inis ako sa kanya, ngayon hindi na. Actually, I like him. But my latest discovery is quite frightening. I. AM. IN-LOVE. WITH. HIM.”

It’s two days before our agreed date and here I am, waiting for him…

Haay…

Anyway, ano kayang pag-uusapan namin? He needs to talk with that cousin of him. Audrey should be the first to know (after me) about his feelings for me. Para na kasi silang magkapatid. Tindi ng bonding. Kung tutuusin, minsan nga mapagkakamalan mo silang mag-boyfriend dahil sa sweetness nila at selosan.

I was still busy thinking about Audrey and X’s relationship when he came. I could recognize him right away because of his posture and well-built body. My thoughts abruptly died and it felt as though, for a second or two, the world became motionless.

What is it with this guy that made me easily fall for him, I asked myself. He’s not dashing like Brad Pitt nor drop-dead handsome like Tom Cruise. Yet, he has this certain appeal that melts my heart. And I bet, some females noticed it too for a few heads turned when he walked my way.

“Hi. Kanina ka pa ba dito?” he asked with his signature sweet smile. My heart skipped a beat. Right then and there, I knew, I am his.

“Di naman. Anong oras ba usapan nyo ni Audrey?” I asked habang umiiwas makipag-eye contact sa kanya (What’s with me?! I can’t look at him! I screamed at myself. Umayos ka nga Jane!)

“Three o clock pa naman. So, may two hours pa tayo. Anong plano mo?”

“Wala eh. Ikaw?”

“Tambay na lang tayo dito. Ok lang ba?”

“Oo naman.” At tumambay nga lang kami sa may grandstand. Kwentuhan ng kung anu-ano. Nang medyo uminit na, nilabas ko ang pamaypay mula sa’king bag. He got it from me and started fanning both of us. When he got tired, he played with it. Then…

“Kamusta na nga pala kayo ni Z? Nagkita na ba kayo ulit?” he asked out of nowhere.

I looked at him. Puzzled. But then, I smiled. He knows about my lovelife. Even my feelings for Z. Napag-uusapan namin ang mga yun sa text. I hide nothing from him.

He stared at me intently. Waiting for my answer. I can see a hint of fear in his eyes.

“Ok naman kami. Pero di pa kami nagkikita ulit eh”

Then he let it out, the question he really wanted to ask. He bowed his head, quite hesitant. But looked up at me again. “May feelings ka pa ba sa kanya?”

The answer came to me as fast as the blink of an eye. And I gave it to him with a reassuring smile. Finally, I was able to meet his gaze.

“Wala na. Z is history.”

He stared at me for a few more seconds. Maybe trying to verify the sincerity in my answer. I heard him sighed. Na-relieve siguro. He went back with two orders of the famous spicy siomai. He gave me the food and left me again to buy some drinks.

Pagbalik niya, sabay namin kinain ang spicy siomai. We were teasing each other matakaw. I was about to bite into another siomai when he held out his hand with a siomai. So I opened my lips and he gently fed me.

I did the same. Sinubuan ko rin siya ng siomai. We were in that situation when a pal from my organization passed by. X didn’t notice him. He waved at me and signaled his two fingers indicating that me and X are a couple. Tsk! Sigurado tsismis ako nito sa org. Lagot!

We finished the siomai and drinks and continued chatting. Audrey came three hours after their agreed time.

Nagulat ako at di nakagalaw. Natawa si Audrey. But I felt as though my cheeks were burning. Nagpaalam na sila at iniwan akong medyo tulala pa rin sa may sakayan.
