Activities for Christmas

‘Tis the season to be jolly…
It’s Christmas, time for merry-making and reunions. After a year of hard work, it’s just right that we reward ourselves with some time to enjoy. Have fun with family and friends. Well, there are lots of ways to have fun. And, I’ve got some suggestions that you and your loved-ones will surely like.

ferris_wheel
Go to an amusement park. Every Yuletide season it has been like a tradition already for families to spend Christmas in amusement parks. Teens and children enjoy this the most. For children, they love to ride carousels and ferris wheels. While on the other hand, teens are thrilled with roller coasters and horror houses.  As you could scinema popcornee, this kind of activity is recommended only to families with lots of children. Not much fun for the elders.

Watch movies. This is a very common activity for all. Also very affordable. You could do this at home or hit the cinemas and watch on the big screen. The only problem you’ll have here is if you have different preferences as to what you will watch. Though it’s not really that big a problem since you have lots of time to watch especially if you are just staying at home.
Have a picnic. When was the last time you wenrt out together? It’s about time you appreciatepicnic the beauty of nature. Plan a trip out of town or just simply go to a park. Pack some foods in the basket and bring a frisbee. A moment with loved-ones and the environment is truly keep-sake you’ll never forget for the following years.

videoke2Hit the KTV bars. Show your hidden talents. Sing along with family and friends in a KTV bar. Who knows? Perhaps through this activity, you might even be discovered and become the next diva.
Try your luck at the casinos. With the oh-so-many money that you have, why don’tcasino you test your fortune? Invite some friends and go play at the casinos. It does not only offer bonding time with friends but also opportunities to multiply your blessings. But I must remind you, always check your funds. Of course you don’t want to go home without even a single penny.  ;)
Now that I’ve given you my suggestions, it’s up to you to decide. No matter what you’ll be doing this Christmas, what is really important is that you spend it together with your loved-ones.

Happy holidays! :)

Card Games to Relieve Boredom

boredIt’s the first day for my ‘work week’ again and here I am, bored with the slow internet connection here in the office. So instead of waiting for the web pages to load, I decided to explore my PC and play with the games here.

No, they are not the games that you probably have in mind. No counter strike. No DOTA. They are not allowed here of course. What I just have here are the classics. Solitaire and Spider Solitaire.

I know it’s kinda boring too but they are the best that I could afford as of the moment. Wait. Wait a second. The internet connection is picking up. There… Now I get to play REAL games. But then again, I guess I’m already hooked on card games so I might as well play BETTER ones online.

I have this site on my Favorites that has lots of card games. Fabulous right? I get to play Black Jack, Poker and Memory card games. The site? No. I can’t give it to you here. My boss is probably reading this and I’m afraid that he might ban the site. Hehehe… I’ll just email it to you if you’re interested.

Yeah, I spent hours playing now but I still can’t get enough of those cards. maybe I should go for the real thing. Like play on the best casinos online. Not a bad idea right? I might even win a fortune if I try… ;)

There goes my Tuesday… Thanks to this first-day-of-work week-sickness that I always have. *Sighs*

Presenting the 2008 MMFF entries

Anna and Buby of Dayo

Anna and Bubuy of Dayo

cast of Shake Rattle and Roll X

cast of Shake Rattle and Roll X

AiAi delas Alas as Ina

AiAi delas Alas as Ina

Tito, Vic and Joey in Iskul Bukol

Tito, Vic and Joey in Iskul Bukol

Miss nyo na ba ang Escalera brothers? Well, reunion movie ito nina Tito, Vic and Joey matapos ang halos dalawang dekada na hindi pagsasama-sama sa pelikula. Ang Iskul Bukol: 20 years after.

Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales of Baler

Anne Curtis and Jericho Rosales of Baler

Plaza.

My Top Twelve Christmas Songs

Christmas is just around the corner. The cold December breeze greets us in the morning as Yuletide carols start to brighten up the day. Speaking of carols, I’d like to share my top twelve favorites…  (why twelve? coz I want it something like twelve days of Christmas. hehehe…)  And perhaps give you some reason too on why I like them.

Wait, I must warn you that I am in a very sentimental mood that’s why some of the songs in top ten are the sad ones. I just can’t help it. I’m always like this during December.

So now, here they are…

12. Twelve Days of Christmas

Fave. lines: “On the fifth day of christmas my true love sent to me… Five golden rings..”

Well, to be honest, I still haven’t memorized this song no matter how many times I’ve already heard it. I could only go as far as the seventh day.

11. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Fave. lines: “Then how the reindeers loved him, As they shouted out with glee, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, You’ll go down in history.”

Have a Merry Christmas

Have a Merry Christmas

One of the all-time favorite Christmas songs. I like the values hidden in this song. Yeah, there actually is. You better check the lyrics again. (hehehe…)

10. I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus

Fave. lines: “Oh what a laugh it would have been, If Daddy had only seen Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night”

It’s so cute that the child here has no slight doubt that perhaps his Dad is actually the Santa Claus that his Mom is kissing. So amusing. :)

9. Jingle Bells

Fave. lines: “Dashing through the snow on a one-horse open sleigh…”

Wonder why that is my favorite line? Well, because I heard some people mistaken that line as the title of the song. Especially the first four words.  ;)

8. Winter Wonderland

Fave. lines: “Later on we’ll conspire… as we dream by the fire, To face unafraid the plans that we’ve made…”

This song always gives me a positive view of Christmas. That even though the year is about to end and another one is about to start, we should be brave on whatever lies ahead.

7. Silent Night

Fave. lines: “Silent night, holy night.. All is calm, all is bright. “

This is one of the few Christmas songs that I could play in my bamboo flute. I love this song because it is soothing. Sometimes, it even puts me to sleep.

6. Pasko Na Sinta Ko

Inulila mo”

Okay, here goes my ’senti mode’. I choise this song because it reminds me of my childhood Christmases. I used to sing this song to mom just to annoy her. I guess now this song somehow pierces me too.

5.  Miss Kita Kung Christmas

Ano man ang pilit kong magsaya. Miss kita kung Christmas”

I miss a lot of things and people every December. I wish to gather them all and have them all for Christmas but it just seems impossible. I guess you really just can’t have everything.

4. Blue Christmas

Fave. lines: “I’ll have a blue Christmas, that’s certain. And when that blue heartache starts hurting. You’ll be doing all right…With your Christmas of white. But I’ll have a blue, blue Christmas”

Blue Christmas. That’s usually how my Christmas is. But I don’t blame anyone for it. I just really lose the Christmas spirit a long time ago.  I just wish that it would be different for this year. And I think it would be. :)

3. I’ll Be Home for Christmas

Fave. lines: “I’ll be home for Christmas, you can count on me.”

I am hoping so much that ’someone’ would be home for Christmas. I am praying that this year’s Christmas will somehow be different.

2. All I Want for Christmas is You

Fave. lines: “Make my wish come true. All I want for Christmas is…You”

Sometimes, we really don’t need any presents at all for Christmas. All I want is the presence of someone and it would definitely make a big difference. Wish you’ll be here. :)

1. The Christmas Song

Fave. lines: “And so I’m offering this simple phrase, For kids from one to ninety two. Although its been said many times many ways… Merry Christmas to you.”

I so love this song. Reminds me of Christmas spent singing with Dad. Well, it also erases the notion that Christmas is only for kids. Christmas in reality, is for everyone. :)
